AFSA Highlights Key Issues to Congressional Committee

Blog Posts

Last week, the American Financial Services Association submitted its top three issue priorities to the House Appropriations Committee per its request.

  • The Federal Communications Commission should draft a Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) rule that deals with autodialers.
  • The Federal Trade Commission should carefully consider the impact its Safeguards Rule would have on businesses, which AFSA detailed in a letter last year.
  • The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. should be encouraged to finalize their valid-when-made rules.

AFSA continues to work on a whole host of issues in addition to those it highlighted specifically to the committee.
