I have been fortunate to have had leaders throughout my career who have been champions and mentors for me.

What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the relationships I have developed in my career that are built on honest communication and mutual respect.

MENTORING:
a. What would you say are the key success factors for a mentoring relationship?
Building a rapport is obviously important, and requires finding connections and full engagement from both parties. More important, though, is identifying what the goal of the mentoring relationship is, and checking in to see if those goals are being met.

b. What advice would you give yourself as a young executive?
Advocate for yourself the same way you would for your team.

c. What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started your career?
Truly empowering your team means that sometimes they will fail. That isn't something you can or should always prevent.
