Reading the Room: Inside the Voters’ Minds on the Economy and the Midterms

When you sit down at The Breakers, the 2026 midterm elections will be one week away. Micah Roberts of Public Opinion Strategies and Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research will have just closed their latest polling cycle, and they will show you what the data says before it reaches the headlines.
Roberts polls for Republicans. Horwitt polls for Democrats. Together they produce the monthly CNBC All-America Economic Survey, making them one of the few teams in Washington who read the same numbers from both sides of the aisle. At the Annual Meeting they will lay out where consumer sentiment and economic confidence stand today, whether kitchen-table concerns are splitting along party lines or something more nuanced is at work, which issues still move persuadable voters, and what it all means for the candidates and campaigns your business will live with for the next two years.
