Bar Rescue premiered on Spike TV on June 11, 2010. Under Taffer's lead, the show accounted for nearly 20 percent of total programming minutes on Spike TV to become the network's number-two ad-revenue generator, having brought in over $39 million national advertising dollars in 2016 alone. The show has since amassed over $500 million in advertising revenue as a series.

In the spring and summer of 2019, Taffer launched two new business endeavors: Taffer’s Mixologist and Taffer’s Tavern. Now on shelves in retail stores across the country, including Walmart, Taffer’s Mixologist brings the craft cocktail experience to the home with a line of delicious, high-quality, pre-made cocktail mixes. Taffer’s Tavern is an innovative restaurant concept based on a high-volume, small footprint format that uses the latest technologies to produce high-quality food and beverage offerings without the need for a traditional commercial kitchen.
Taffer is one of only six inductees into the Nightclub Hall of Fame, was the only American to be named "Pub Master" in the UK, and was the ﬁrst-ever to receive the "Dom Perignon Award of Excellence" from the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Taffer also received the TGI Fridays Propeller Award in 2014 for his contributions to the brand.
As an author, Taffer wrote Don’t Bullsh*t Yourself, a no-nonsense guide that helps people understand and overcome the excuses holding them back from success. It became a New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Wall Street Journal best-seller in its ﬁrst week of release. Taffer also wrote the instant Wall Street Journal best-seller, Raise the Bar: An Action-Based Method for Maximum Customer Reactions.
Taffer is on the board of Cleveland Clinic’s Keep Memory Alive. He joined after many years on the Board of Directors for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the Kansas City Blues.
Taffer currently resides in Las Vegas with his wife Nicole and his dogs Moxie and Winston.
