Jim Drotman

Jim Drotman is executive vice president responsible for Ford Motor Credit Company’s operations in the United States and Canada, effective December 2018. Previously, Drotman was executive director, Sales and Marketing, Ford Credit Europe and, before that, managing director, Ford Credit Britain and Ireland.

Drotman joined Ford Credit in 1993 as a customer service representative. He has served in numerous operational, central staff and sales positions of increasing responsibility. His assignments have included work in strategy, business planning and analysis, policy and procedure development, pricing, marketing, brand management, forecasting, budgeting, quality and productivity, securitization support, government relations, operations and consumer risk management, supplier management, compliance, customer service and satisfaction, succession planning and 6-Sigma and Agile methodologies.

Drotman has held leadership positions in Asia, Europe and North America. He was president and on the board of directors of Ford Automotive Finance China, where he was also on the operating committee of Ford of China. As executive director of Marketing and Sales for Ford Credit Europe (FCE), he was on the FCE board of directors, chairman of the board of FCE’s Nordic business, and manager of the Ford Credit Dealer Advisory Board. He also held an executive role in Ford Commercial Solutions product development, a start-up business within Ford, which is developing telematics and fleet management capabilities for connected vehicles.

He earned a master’s in business administration with a concentration in finance and strategy from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Stephen F. Austin State University. He is a past president of the Zeta Beta Tau Foundation, which provides college scholarships.
