Ellen Farrell is Vice President, Interim General Counsel, Secretary TFS US . Farrell is the interim Chief Legal Officer for TFS US and also oversees the Legal Department, Enterprise Compliance Department, Internal Audit Department, and Government Affairs for TFS US. Farrell provides direction, vision, and strategy to support TFS business objectives and works with senior management to ensure integrity of enterprise-wide legal, compliance and audit risk management. Farrell serves on the Senior Executive Committee for TFS. Ms. Farrell reports to Mark Templin, President and CEO.
Previously, Ms. Farrell was Vice President & Deputy General Counsel, Head of Product Law and Head of Legal Operations for Toyota Motor North America, Inc. In that role, she was responsible for overall management of the defense of product liability- and warranty-related claims and lawsuits involving Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles in North America and partnered with various client business units to mitigate operational and product-related risks and to promote customer satisfaction. In addition, she oversaw the TMNA law department’s technology and business operations functions, including its Partnering Program, one of the key goals of which is to promote diversity & inclusion among the counsel who represent Toyota.
Ms. Farrell is a member of the Board of Director of WiNGS, a Dallas-area non-profit whose mission is to empower women, fight poverty and impact generations and a member-elect of the Board of Directors of The Resource Center, the primary LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS service organizations in North Texas. She also served on the Fall 2018 grant review team for the Dallas Women’s Foundation.
Prior to joining Toyota in 1999, she was with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Los Angeles, California. Ms. Farrell is licensed to practice law in California and Texas; she is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Texas.
