My Areas of Expertise: i.e. strategy, marketing, team building, executive management?
Leadership, Coaching/Mentoring, Strategy, Measuring Results, and Innovation

Areas of expertise upon which I would like to continue learning:
I know how to run and transform businesses and people. I would like to have more learning on shaping Auto Finance into the future (ex policy, regulation, and trade associations (like AFSA) and actually influence outcomes)

What three keywords best describe you?
Straightforward, Creative, and Results-driven

Personal Motto:
Get S* Done.

What are you passionate about?
Developing people into leaders with independent thinking
Advocacy, not advice
Judgment over credentials (value your gut and lived experience)
Leave things better than when you found it
Create safe spaces and ensure transparency as that usually leads to better solutions to problems

What is something interesting about you that members might not know?
My experience ranges from very large corporations to small organizations. I focus on people and their growth, meet them where they are, and work towards leaving organizations stronger/better than I found them.

Who has been a role model for you?
I have a 3-way tie. Connie Chung for the work she did to advance and navigate within a male-dominated industry; My mother who came as an immigrant and persevered through a lot of barriers; and Wonder Woman for her ability to transform to what is needed.

What are you most proud of?
Adapting & persevering through challenges both personal and professional.

MENTORING:

a. What would you say are the key success factors for a mentoring relationship?
1) Common ground; 2) Establishing Safe Space; 3) Provide tools for success (not solving their asks for them but providing options/role play/etc); 4) Understanding and processing feedback; 5) Understand their own true strengths and challenges and how to navigate

b. What advice would you give yourself as a young executive?
It’s not just about skill and capability. Trust your instincts—don’t dismiss them. They are a strength, not something to set aside at work. Build advocates, not just mentors. Invest early in confidence, especially with presentations.
Seek encouragement and honest feedback, and offer the same to others.

c. What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started your career?
Mostly the same as above.
