President & CEO, 1st Franklin Financial Corporation
Ginger is the President and CEO of 1st Franklin Financial Corporation, a family owned business started by her grandfather in 1941. She is a University of Georgia graduate with a degree in Management. Active for many years with AFSA, Ginger has served as the Independents Section Chair, AFSA Education Foundation (AFSAEF) Chair, member of the AFSAEF Endowment Campaign Committee, Professional Development Committee, and NICCM Board of Governors. Currently, she is serving as the AFSA Chair of the Board for the 2017-2018 term. Ginger received the AFSA Distinguished Service Award in 2014. She is an active member of the World Presidents Organization, and of many networks associated with that organization. Locally and at a state level, Ginger has served on boards for Northeast Georgia CASA, Northeast Georgia March of Dimes, Georgia Camp Fire USA, Leadership Toccoa-Stephens County, and currently for the Toccoa-Stephens County Boys & Girls Club. Ginger is an active member of Toccoa First United Methodist Church, and in her spare time loves to hike, camp, read and enjoy music of all kinds. She is a Gigi to three, a mother to two, and a wife of 31 years to one, Kip Herring.
