AFSA is aware that individuals are calling and emailing AFSA members offering member contact lists.
DO NOT ENGAGE WITH ANY COMPANY OR INDIVIDUAL OFFERING MEMBER LISTS.
AFSA members can always access a list of fellow members, including contact information, via the AFSA Member Directory. Attendees of any and all AFSA conferences will receive an attendee list prior to the conference and will have access to contact information via the AFSA Events app.
In the past, scammers have offered discount hotel accommodations to upcoming AFSA conferences. Do not engage with these companies or individuals either.
In order to get the discounted hotel rate for any AFSA conference, you MUST book directly with the hotel. We have received reports of attendees “booking” through these groups, only to discover that they do not have a reservation. Do not supply your payment information to these parties.
Please carefully review the URL or email address of what appears to be an AFSA-related solicitation and disregard those that come from other sources. Do not give out your personal information to any party over the phone. If you receive one of these solicitations or have questions, contact an AFSA staff person directly.
