Home Schooling Your Kids? Good Luck! And … Discover Free Personal Finance Courses!
As more schools close or move online, we want to highlight the AFSA Education Foundation’s free online personal finance course, MoneySKILL®.
MoneySKILL was developed in 2002 as one of the first personal finance courses available entirely online. The curriculum is designed to educate people of all ages about money management fundamentals and to foster the skills and knowledge necessary to make sound financial decisions. The course itself consists of 37 modules (content areas) in English and Spanish, including topics such as budgeting, saving, credit, investing, and more. It is available at no cost to educators (including parents), and the foundation provides complimentary training and technical support on demand.
MoneySKILL offers educators a flexible, adaptable, and comprehensive personal finance curriculum that can be used as a standalone course, a take-home assignment, or as an additional classroom or workplace resource. No specialized teacher training is required, the course is accessible completely online, and the content provides people of all ages with a practical and easy-to-understand guide to money management fundamentals.
We encourage teachers, parents, and any educator looking for online resources to learn more about MoneySKILL at www.afsaef.org.
