Liberty Career Finance
Lamiaa is General Counsel and Secretary of the Board for both Liberty Career Finance and Continental Finance Company. She is responsible for the broad spectrum of corporate legal transactions and litigation matters involving the companies. Lamiaa also maintains a boutique law practice in NJ and NY focused on corporate and commercial transactions. Her pro bono work includes serving as a Franklin Fellow with the US Department of State Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, Office of the Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy and Human Rights (J/TIP) on programs to reduce the prevalence of human trafficking. She has also advised on and participated in community voter registration campaigns to encourage electoral participation. She currently serves as Chair of the AFSA Law Committee’s Payment Device and Banking subcommittee.
We asked Lamiaa what advice she’d give to her younger self, knowing what she knows now.
It is critical to be assertive, and do not shy away from promoting your achievements.
