Women’s History Month | Anne Kline
AFSA is collaborating with the AFSA’s Women’s Leadership Council to celebrate Women’s History Month by featuring outstanding female leaders in the consumer credit industry.

What has been the most important lesson?
Network as much as you can. It will open doors you never expect.
Was there a mentor who provided great insight in your early career?
My sister Linda. She started washing trucks part time for UPS and retired as their VP/COO in Texas. She is several years older than me and forged her career during a time when women struggled to truly elevate in an organization like UPS. She and her husband moved more than 10 times while raising two girls and I benefitted from her experience.
What do you wish the you of today could have told the younger you about building a career?
Have an authentic career plan that guides your growth and decisions. I didn’t always have a plan, and although things worked out ok much of my success was because I eventually got focused. Having a plan built around the life you want to lead can help you to ensure you reach your goals – both personally and professionally.
