April White Paper: Marketing Checks
AFSA’s State Government Affairs April white paper highlights marketing checks. Marketing checks, also known as “live checks,” offer consumers convenient access to fully amortized installment credit through firm offers made only after prescreening to ensure borrowers have the ability to repay. These loans avoid the debt‑trap risks associated with payday or title loans, and the vast majority of borrowers successfully repay them on schedule. With many states imposing varying disclosure and mailing requirements, the marketing check program remains a popular, low‑risk, and efficient tool for both consumers and lenders.
This paper, along with SGA’s other white papers, can be found on the SGA resources section of AFSA’s website.
