Celebrating Black History Month
As Bishop Desmond Tutu said, “My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.” Black History Month highlights the deep, rich legacy of African Americans that is so much of the binding of our nation’s heritage. Our ongoing commitment to focusing on these accomplishments – as well as a renewed focus on equity and justice – has made our nation stronger. AFSA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee continues to integrate those crucial goals across the association. AFSA is also working to support our members as they build and maintain diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces that represent the communities they serve, while also identifying and removing barriers to equitable access.
