Disregard non-AFSA Solicitations
AFSA is aware of several scam companies and individuals posing as AFSA staff members offering a variety of professional contact lists. Many of the most recent messages offer discounted contact lists for upcoming conferences.
You should disregard these messages.
Attendee lists are made available to registered attendees only. AFSA does not and will never, sell conference attendee contact lists. If you see an offer of this kind, please ignore it and bring it to our attention.
The best way to determine if an email message is from an AFSA staff member is to look at the FROM address – if it doesn’t end with “@afsamail.org,” it is not from the association. Also, if you do not recognize the sender’s name from your interactions with AFSA, exercise caution.
If you ever have any questions about the legitimacy of an email communication, please reach out to AFSA staff you regularly interact with.
Thank you.
