CFPB Provides Critical Mortgage Resources for Consumers
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) yesterday released a new suite of resources for consumers who may have difficult making mortgage payments as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
AFSA encourages its members to share the information below with their customers.
As the global pandemic continues to affect the lives and livelihoods of many of the nation’s families, organizations across the country – like the American Financial Services Association (AFSA) – are working hard to help Americans protect and manage their finances.
It’s more important than ever to make extra efforts to reach those who are struggling, to help them understand their options and navigate their choices.
In partnership with other federal agencies like HUD, the CFPB is reaching out to encourage people who are struggling financially as a result of the pandemic to take control of their mortgage loans and request forbearance. Visit cfpb.gov/housing to learn more.
