Harley-Davidson’s Root Appointed to AFSA Board Seats
Jonathan Root, Senior Vice President at Harley-Davidson Financial Services, will take the American Financial Services Association Board of Directors and Vehicle Finance Board seats currently occupied by Larry Hund, who has accepted the position of Chief Commercial Officer for Harley-Davidson Motor Company.
Jonathan serves as a member of the Harley-Davidson leadership team, leading Harley-Davidson Financial Services (HDFS). In this role, Jonathan leads the retail finance, commercial finance, and insurance business for HDFS, as well as Harley-Davidson Dealer Services (HDDS). He has over 25 years of financial services and corporate finance experience. He joined Harley-Davidson in 2011, and has held various HDFS leadership roles, most recently as Vice President of Insurance and Protection Products.
Prior to joining HDFS, he served as Director of Business Development for Ally Financial (Formerly GMAC) Latin American Operations, and prior to that in executive positions with GMAC Insurance for both U.S. and international regions. AFSA appreciates the time Larry gave to AFSA, congratulates him on the new challenges and opportunities he is taking on, and welcomes Jonathan to the boards.
