AFSA Education Foundation to Survey Members About Financial Education Offerings
As an industry, we understand the importance of personal financial education and, yet, we know there is opportunity to do so much more. To that end, the AFSA Education Foundation Board is committed to ensuring that it is easy and impactful for AFSA members to use its comprehensive, online personal finance course, MoneySKILL®, to support your organization’s financial education, corporate responsibility, and community investment goals.
MoneySKILL’s newly updated content addresses the following areas: income, expenses, saving and investing, credit, and insurance. Currently, the majority of MoneySKILL users are middle school, high school and college teachers and students, and with support from AFSA’s membership, we have attracted more than 800,000 users. We want to build on this momentum to more effectively support AFSA members’ employees, customers, and communities.
In the next several days, a survey will be sent to appropriate AFSA member representatives so that the foundation can get a better sense of their financial education priorities, current financial education programs, and how members might benefit from using MoneySKILL. We look forward to updating you with a summary of the survey results. For more information please contact Rhonda Ashburn at rashburn@afsamail.org.
