Mr. Hudgins joined Western-Shamrock Corporation in San Angelo, Texas in 2007 as Vice President of Operations. Mr. Hudgins was promoted to President and COO in 2011.  Western-Shamrock Corporation is a privately-owned consumer finance company with more than 340 branch offices in ten states and over 900 employees.

 

He is directly responsible for all operations of the company and reports directly to the CEO. He is responsible for recruiting and maintaining the management team which currently includes two Operations Managers, four Regional Managers, more than thirty district managers, a training department, home office support staff and an executive team.  .

 

Mr. Hudgins plays a lead role in the company’s regulatory and governmental relations department. He currently serves as the President of the Independent Finance Institute of Oklahoma and serves on the Board of the Missouri Installment Lenders Association, Georgia Industrial Loan Association, Tennessee Independent Finance Association, The Independent Consumer Finance Association of South Carolina, The New Mexico Independent Finance Association.  Mr. Hudgins also serves on boards for the national Associations including The National Installment Lenders Association and The American Financial Services Association.  He has worked closely with state and federal legislators to maintain a pro-business environment and has developed an excellent working relationship with the state regulatory departments. In addition, Mr. Hudgins has developed, monitored and maintained many of the lobbying efforts on behalf of his current and former companies.

 

He is the former Vice President of Operations for Security Finance Corporation of Spartanburg, South Carolina from 1998 to 2007.  Security Finance is the largest “small loan consumer finance company” in the country.  While at Security Finance, Mr. Hudgins was instrumental in operational production and developing the Security Finance Training Department from its conceptual start to its more than twenty training professionals.

 

Mr. Hudgins was instrumental in developing and creating reporting mechanisms, personnel evaluation programs and the overall operating functionality of these tools to better merge system functions with operational procedures.

 

Mr. Hudgins began his career with World Acceptance Corporation in 1990.   World Acceptance is the second-largest small loan company in the country and the largest publically traded “small loans company” in the country.  Mr. Hudgins rose quickly through the ranks to the Vice President level prior to his departure in 1998.  In addition, Mr. Hudgins served as a Vice President for Business Development for The Associates prior to their consolidation with CitiGroup.

 

Mr. Hudgins attended the University of Colorado and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Public Administration from Texas State University. His is also a graduate of the AFSA Executive Leadership Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
