Tom Bevan

Co-Founder & Executive Editor
RealClearPolitics

Tom Bevan is the co-founder and executive editor of RealClearPolitics, a trusted political source in Washington that publishes original content and selects the must-read stories and analysis from each side of the debate. With seven million monthly views, the site’s calling card is its innovative RCP polling average, the first of its kind and trusted across the aisle.

Bevan addresses politics and elections. A political junkie, he also offers the historical context of today’s political events so that his audience can get a better understanding of what is happening in Washington and more importantly, why.

In addition to overseeing the editorial staff and writing regular features for RealClearPolitics, Bevan’s work has appeared in numerous publications, and he is featured frequently as a political analyst on Fox News, CNN, CNBC, and the BBC. Bevan is also the co-author (with Carl Cannon) of two e-books on the 2012 election: The RealClearPolitics Political Download: Election 2012: The Battle Begins and The RealClearPolitics Download: Election 2012: A Time for Choosing.

Bevan also hosts a weekly radio show on 89 WLS-AM in Chicago. The show provides in-depth analysis of politics and elections and airs from 8-9pm central on Sunday nights.

Prior to launching RealClearPolitics in 2000 with Princeton University classmate John McIntyre, Bevan worked for nearly a decade in the advertising and communications industries, starting at Leo Burnett and later moving to Crispin Porter + Bogusky.
