Susie Storey is an accomplished Executive with 20 years’ expertise in driving revenue, profitability, and sales enablement that empowers account executives to engage buyers in meaningful conversations about their immediate and future needs and wants. Susie has led year-over year record growth numbers while also managing sales and marketing business planning and training. She has held senior-level sales and marketing positions, including VP of Sales at DealerSocket. She was also formerly a Division President and Sales VP in the Title, Escrow, and Finance industry where she had a strong track record of building competitive Sales and Operations teams. She joined defi SOLUTIONS in 2018 and heads Sales, Sales Operations, and Client Success.

I danced professionally and choreographed for a community theater company for 15+ years

Who has been a role model for you?
My mother has been the role model who has most impacted my life.

What are you most proud of?
Professional: I have had the opportunity to reinvent myself by changing industries and jobs several times in my career and have proven that my hard work, skills, knowledge and guiding principles can lead to success each time.
Personal: Raising 2 children to become successful, healthy, happy, socially aware, intelligent, adults. I still have 2 more to go.

a. What would you say are the key success factors for a mentoring relationship?
Trust and respect, open mindedness, good communication, and clear understanding and alignment on what you want to get out of the relationship

b. What advice would you give yourself as a young executive?
That it is ok to seek help and collaboration. To be accessible and approachable. Do not be so focused on the destination or some future goal that you forget to enjoy the moments, lessons, and experiences you are going through on your journey. Check in with yourself and make decisions along the way that bring you happiness and fulfillment.

c. What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started your career?
That it is ok to seek help and collaboration. To be accessible and approachable.
