Sang O’Neill is currently the Chief Credit Officer for First Help Financial. Since July 2022, Sang has been transforming the company through Strategy, Program Development, Digitization, Predictive Modelling, Enterprise Data, and Analytics.

Sang’s initiatives at Consumer Portfolio Services, United Auto Credit, Hyundai Capital America, Santander Consumer USA, and GM Financial (formerly AmeriCredit) brought innovations and increased profits to the companies.

In addition to Sang’s 25 years of industry experience, she also holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas, a MS in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Statistics concentration.

My family, children, mentors, friends, and professional and personal growth over the years.

MENTORING:
a. What would you say are the key success factors for a mentoring relationship?
Consistence – recurring meetings/calls/check-ups
Open mind – willing to learn from each other
Reciprocal – men-tees can help mentors during the relationship

b. What advice would you give yourself as a young executive?
Be confident to ask. Don’t wait for the others to do things for you. Your hard work will pay off.

c. What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started your career?
Don’t be shy of getting from the others! You will also find ways to help them as a Thank-You.
