What three key words best describe you?
Passionate, Driven, Caring
Personal Motto:
Life is short, Tomorrow is not promised, Eat the Cake!
What are you passionate about?
Family, Faith and fitness – and of course, my clients
What is something interesting about you that members might not know?
I can do 3-4 sets of 10-Pull Ups – unassisted, have worked up to that over the years. Personal goal.
Who has been a role model for you?
I had a role model when I worked at Credit Suisse in New York, during the days of Mortgage Backed Securities. While he was a Managing Director with a very large role in the Firm, this man reminded me of my dad in that he had faith in my ability, ensured I was part of executive courses as needed and ensured that strong women in our firm had a voice.
What are you most proud of?
My two grown children are incredible human beings, adults, mentors to others and successful in their careers.
MENTORING:
a. What would you say are the key success factors for a mentoring relationship?
Listening skills, observing, critical thinking in understanding details and big picture at the same time. We have to gather information to inform decisions and as a mentor, understanding personalities also comes into play. I led some very large contact centers in my past and these are critical pieces to leading large!
b. What advice would you give yourself as a young executive?
Listen more, talk less, and data is everything
c. What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started your career?
Just because someone has a title, does not mean they earned it. It is OK to question leadership, in the background. Do the work to understand and learn the details and let your voice be heard, right time and place, and right message.
