Amanda George is the Vice President of Product & Customer Solutions for RouteOne, a joint venture created by Ally Financial, Ford Motor Credit, TD Auto Finance, and Toyota Financial Services. She is responsible for managing product conception, development, and strategy for RouteOne as well as Technical Solutioning Support and Customer & Partner Integration. Prior to this role, George held leadership positions in Dealer and Finance Source Business Development, Operations, Project Management, and IT Development during her 15+ year tenure with RouteOne. Prior to joining RouteOne, George held various roles in the management consulting industry.

My mom. We are so different and have very different life goals, but I've always admired how well she knows herself. Self-knowledge and acceptance is the key to success and happiness!

The fact that I've been able to continuously grow and challenge myself in my career while raising my family.

What would you say are the key success factors for a mentoring relationship?
Respect, communication, clear understanding of the goals for the relationship

What advice would you give yourself as a young executive?
Don't assume that the others in the room know more than you or are more qualified.

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started your career?
I used to have a lot of anxiety whenever anything went wrong. I’ve learned to have more perspective, and that ‘time heals’ does apply in a lot of situations.
