The AFSA Emerging Leaders Council
Identifying and engaging the consumer finance industry’s future leaders is crucial to sustaining the success and growth of both the industry, as well as the organization that represents it: the American Financial Services Association (AFSA). That’s why AFSA is launching the AFSA Emerging Leaders Council (ELC).
The ELC’s mission is fourfold:
- Bring together member company employees identified as future leaders by current leaders to build a professional network.
- Gain a better knowledge of the consumer finance industry and AFSA advocacy efforts.
- Develop key leadership techniques that members can use at their own companies.
- Add new perspectives within the broader AFSA organization.
AFSA’s ELC members will:
- Participate in a one-day meeting once a year at a pre-set registration rate at a central, easily accessible location for ELC members. Topics will include AFSA advocacy/policy updates, a keynote on leadership/professional development and networking.
- Meet during the AFSA Annual Meeting at a discounted registration rate and, at the discretion of the member company, may attend the Vehicle Finance or Independents conferences at the discounted rate.
- Participate in a quarterly webinar focused on topics crucial to leadership development in the consumer credit space.
