Endorsing Remote Work
AFSA’s State Government Affairs team submitted a comment letter this week to the Pennsylvania House Commerce Committee in support of HB 1860, a remote work bill.
HB 1860 would allow certain employees of licensed motor vehicle sales finance companies to work remotely. This legislation offers flexibility to licensees and maintains secure services, as employees perform the same supervised, technology-supported functions from home as they would in an office, without meeting customers or storing records there.
Allowing remote work provides numerous benefits, including cost savings, enhanced inclusivity, and improved talent attraction and retention, ultimately leading to higher employee satisfaction and better customer experiences.
This letter, along with SGA’s other recent letters, can be found on the direct advocacy section of AFSA’s website.
