In her role, Nelly serves as a key consultant to Paymentus’ prospects and clients. She has 20+ years of experience in the electronic billing and payments industry and employs a collaborative approach with her clients – working alongside them as they evaluate electronic billing and payment channels and then presenting the best solutions to support their goals.
Prior to joining the Paymentus team, Nelly was responsible for Sales and managed Key national accounts for Western Union Financial Services (Speedpay). Her experience in creating optimal solutions for Auto Finance, Mortgage, and Consumer Finance clients positions her as an expert in convenience fee payments, eBills, bank channel and walk in payments as well as NACHA and PCI compliance.

What are you passionate about?
Learning Differences Education (Dyslexia) I serve on the board of Key School and Traning Center in FT Worth, TX.. Where education goes beyond One size fits all.
What is something interesting about you that members might not know?
I have a 22 year old daughter that has Dyslexia, although most people when you mention Dyslexia think it’s a learning disability but instead it’s a learning difference. Dyslexia doesn’t mean you can’t learn it just means you learn different than others. My daughter graduated from High school and has an associates degree at the age of 17. She went off to graduate from College at the age of 20 with a double major and a 3.7 GPA with zero learning accommodations. She rocks!
Who has been a role model for you?
My Mother is my biggest role model. I am still learning from her each and every day. Kindness and compassion is her middle name. Love her to the moon and back.
What are you most proud of?
My children! I have a 22 year old daughter and a 20 year old son. My kids are my pride and joy.
MENTORING:
a. What would you say are the key success factors for a mentoring relationship?
Continual growth.. Just because you have been in the business for 20+ plus years, there is still so much to learn.
b. What advice would you give yourself as a young executive?
Don’t be afraid to take risks, little to lose and so much to gain.
c. What do you know now that you wish you knew when you started your career?
It’s ok to take risks.
