AFSA Supports House Roundtable Discussion on Improving Financial Services
Last week, AFSA wrote a letter to the House Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth to support its roundtable discussion on Serving Unbanked and Underbanked Americans.
The bipartisan roundtable featured perspectives on how to increase participation for individuals unable to access traditional banking services by the business community. AFSA urged the Select Committee to focus on facilitating a competitive and robust consumer marketplace that allows consumers to access affordable and safe financial products to meet their household needs and improve their lives.
AFSA also highlighted how its Education Foundation, through MoneySKILL, has helped equip consumers of all ages with the knowledge of responsible money management while also gaining a better understanding of the financial services process.
