Letter … AFSA Got a Letter …
Earlier this week, AFSA received a letter from the office of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) seeking information on vehicle repossession errors. We are reviewing the letter and the data request, but it’s important to note that vehicle repossessions are a process of last resort that are in the interest of neither the borrower nor the lender. To that end, AFSA Member Companies serve their customers with respect and make every effort to work with the borrower so that wherever possible the consumer can retain the vehicle while also satisfying their obligation to the lender.
