AFSA Supports Major Bipartisan Housing Legislation
AFSA is pleased to support the bipartisan Housing for the 21st Century Act, which will boost housing supply, improve affordability, and streamline existing regulations for millions of Americans.
Thanks to House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill (R-AR), Ranking Member Maxine Waters (D-CA), Housing and Insurance Subcommittee Chairman Mike Flood (R-NE), and Ranking Member Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO), more hard-working Americans will have more financing options to achieve home ownership.
Many of the provisions in the Housing for the 21st Century Act are also included in the Senate’s landmark ROAD to Housing Act, led by Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), and passed by the Senate Banking Committee in July with a unanimous 24-0 vote.
AFSA urges the House Financial Services Committee to advance the Housing for the 21st Century Act later this week.
