Gill Gives Credit Overview
AFSA Chief Economist Tim Gill addressed a meeting of industry trade association economists this week. The group, made up of economists and research leaders from a wide range of trade groups, meets regularly in Washington, DC to report on business developments in their respective sectors, as well as to share insights on data sources and research approaches in their work.
Tim’s presentation provided a summary of current consumer credit conditions, putting the latest data on credit balances into context, updated trends in lending standards, and reported on recent stabilization and improvements in aggregate credit performance for many types of loans. He also gave an overview of AFSA’s Consumer Credit Condition (C3)Index.
