WOMAN LEADER OF THE DAY | Julie Ausland

AFSA is proud to celebrate the crucial role female executives play throughout the financial services industry. From small companies to large, installment loans to vehicle finance products, female leaders are building the future of our industry. During Women’s History Month, AFSA will be featuring just a small selection of some of the outstanding female leaders in our industry.

Julie Ausland
President & COO
Cashco Financial Services

In 1996, Julie was hired by CashCo Financial Services as a part-time bookkeeper. The company had three employees and less than $500,000 in outstandings.  26 years later, as President and COO, Julie oversees every aspect of CashCo’s operations.  Beyond that, she has inspired, mentored, and led countless young men and women and guided them on their career paths with the company.  The relations she has developed with so many people over the years are among the most rewarding and satisfying parts of her job.

Julie has a B.A. degree in Accounting from Portland State University, enjoys traveling and spending time in Hawaii with her husband Jon and children Sydney and Hayden, is an avid golfer, active in her church and community, and a proud member of the D.A.R.

We asked Julie what advice she’d give to her younger self, knowing what she knows now.

Answer every single phone call you can, with as few as possible going to voicemail. Deal with messy situations head-on. Attack challenges one at a time. Don’t let the pressure of those with their own agenda dictate your priorities.
