Senator Tim Scott to Join AFSA in Washington, DC
AFSA is pleased to announce Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) as a keynote speaker at the 2021 Annual Meeting.
Senator Scott began his political career in the Charleston County Council followed by the South Carolina House of Representatives, the United States House of Representatives, and currently the United States Senate. He joined the Senate in 2013 where his signature legislation, Opportunity Zones, was passed as part of the 2017 tax reform package. He serves on the Senate Banking, Small Business, and Finance Committees, and also plays a significant role on issues regarding workforce development, education, and diversity.
