Vehicle Commercial Credit Committee

  • Purpose – Provides a forum for vehicle finance members to examine trends and discuss best practices in the area of vehicle commercial credit lending.
  • Key Issues – Dealer activity, vehicle markets, inventory audits, operational efficiencies, and blue-sky financing.
  • Calls/Meetings – Meets twice a year during the AFSA Vehicle Finance Conference and the AFSA Annual Meeting.
  • Subcommittees/Working Groups – None.
  • Eligibility – Senior level professionals, from vehicle finance company members, who are responsible for commercial credit activities such as floor-plan and other dealer financing.

Vehicle Finance Credit Risk Management Committee

  • Purpose – Provides a forum for vehicle finance members to share insights, examine trends, and discuss and communicate best practices in the area of credit risk management, including credit risk management methods, tools, governance and processes used to identify, measure and manage credit risk in order to achieve key business objectives.
  • Key Issues – Fraud trends and preventative strategies for synthetic ID and ID theft, consumer fraud, commercial fraud, and attacks on consumer and corporate data.
  • Calls/Meetings – Meets twice a year during the AFSA Vehicle Finance Conference and the AFSA Annual Meeting.
  • Subcommittees/Working Groups – None.
  • Eligibility – Senior level credit risk professionals, from vehicle finance company members.
  • Staff Liaison – Mark Zalewski, Director, E-Business Solutions

National Title Solutions Forum (Committee)

  • Purpose – Provides a forum for vehicle finance members to address challenges regarding title processing and to effect positive change with the long-term goal of replacing many of the paper process with electronic lien and titling processes. Committee members also oversee and utilize the Express Title Help Database.
  • Key Issues – Fraud trends and preventative strategies for synthetic ID and ID theft, consumer fraud, commercial fraud, and attacks on consumer and corporate data.
  • Calls/Meetings – Meets once a year. Holds monthly calls.
  • Subcommittees/Working Groups – Direct lending, ELT, leasing, legislative, remarketing, and title processing.
  • Eligibility – Staff, from vehicle finance company members, involved in day-to-day management of the vehicle title administration process. Business Partners with expertise in facilitating electronic title processing.
