Registration Opportunities Available for AFSAEF’s Management Development Programs
Each year since the mid-1980s, the AFSA Education Foundation offers two important enrichment programs for employees of member companies. The first program is THE EDGE, an acronym for Education, Development, Growth, and Enrichment. Designed for branch managers and team leaders, this initiative features layered modules of learning and offers essential courses taught by industry experts.

Carrie Hozhei, Vice President of Indirect Originations at Gateway Financial Solutions, sees the benefits of THE EDGE for attendees and their companies. THE EDGE program, she said, provides this not only for the individual leaders and emerging leaders attending, but also for the organizations that they represent.
Carrie completed Year 1 of the two-year program and her classmates elected her Year 1 Class President.
“From everyday operational issues and challenges to high level strategizing, regulatory, and compliance modules, THE EDGE offers insight and education from the best in our industry,” she said. “THE EDGE also helps to expand your industry knowledge and connections due to the networking opportunities with your classmates. In order for our industry to grow and thrive, we must invest in the individuals who continue to make the commitment to excellence and innovation in our industry”.
The second initiative is the Leadership Development Program on the campus of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, July 13 through July 20.
This six-day intensive program provides an opportunity to invest in the development of your organization’s future leaders. The fast-paced program allows participants to immerse themselves in innovative principles of management and leadership.
