AFSA Recognized for Making a Difference in the Lives of People with Down Syndrome
The American Financial Services Association (AFSA) last night was recognized by the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) for AFSA’s five-year sponsorship of the annual “Caring with Congress” event.
Bill Himpler, Executive Vice President of AFSA, accepted the NDAA Impact Award on behalf of AFSA. Rhonda Ashburn, Executive Director of the AFSA Education Foundation, also attended the event.
“Not only has AFSA, through Bill’s leadership, agreed to sponsor this event for the past five years, but AFSA is an integral part of the NDSS-led ABLE Alliance for Financial Empowerment,” said Vince Randazzo, Executive Director of NDSS. “AFSA’s support allows us to draw on its considerable expertise as we work to develop financial education and training programs for people with disabilities to help them set up ABLE savings accounts.”
