Sharon is a multi-faceted consumer financial consultant with four decades of experience. She has worked in every job in consumer lending from CSR to CEO. Sharon has completed the AFSA Executive Program at UNC Chapel Hill and the Columbia University Executive Program. She has had the privilege of working with strong teams to build two different Learning Centers in Consumer and Mortgage Lending. Sharon is a 2017 Certified John Maxwell Coach and Trainer, instructor at AFSA's EDGE program at Mercer University and serves on The EDGE Advisory Board and the Executive Education Committee. In 2008, Sharon received the AFSA Distinguished Service Award.

So many of the women of AFSA. My first boss, CEO Nick Carter that encourage and promoted women in the 80’s to crash through the “glass ceiling.”
What would you say are the key success factors for a mentoring relationship?
Setting mutually agreed upon goals. Providing support and growth tool recommendations. Accepting that you will welcome the accountability factor.
What advice would you give yourself as a young executive?
Everything is hard before it is easy.
