Help the AFSA Education Foundation Continue Its Important Work
A message from Jonathon Levin, Turner Acceptance Corp., Chair of the AFSA Education Foundation (AFSAEF) Fundraising Group.
Hello AFSA members! I cannot believe we are getting ready to close out 2017 and welcome the New Year. Wow, how time flies.
I have the honor of leading the AFSA Education Foundation Fundraising Group. Alongside me to help with this great task are Kathy Ruble, Ally Financial, and Marguerite Watanabe, Connections Insights, LLC. Our work is supported by Rhonda Ashburn, AFSAEF, and Angela Waugaman, AFSAEF, as well as Chair of the AFSA Education Foundation Board Tim Stanley, who is Chairman of the Board for Heights Finance.
We all know that an educated customer is a better customer and AFSA’s Education Foundation is committed to consumer credit education by providing MoneySKILL, a comprehensive, online personal finance program covering income, expenses, saving and investing, credit, and insurance. As of today, MoneySKILL has over 810,000 student users and over 23,000 teachers registered to teach from all 50 states as well as 38 foreign countries. Because of the generous support from AFSA members over the years, MoneySKILL® is available at no cost to middle schools, high schools, and colleges.
But, now it’s time to take our fundraising efforts to the next level. Our group has been busy, working hard to find ways to bring more awareness to AFSA’s member companies to increase corporate and individual giving to the foundation. We look forward to working with all of you in 2018 to raise more money but, I have an immediate request – let’s close out 2017 with a bang and raise $30,000! I am in for $1,000. Who will join me? Please click here to print the donation form and make your contribution today by following the instructions.
On behalf of the AFSA Education Foundation Fundraising Group, I wish everyone a spectacular holiday season and a prosperous New Year.
